Early Years Learning Networks

We offer a range of networks for all early years practitioners to enhance knowledge, skills and improve practice.

Come Talk with Me

Come Talk with Me networks are focused on improving children's outcomes in speech, language and communication.

Each network has a different focus, but each provides an excellent opportunity to:

• Share good practice, skills and knowledge
• Build your own professional network
• Engage in discussion and explore new activities
• Learn from each other and through interactive presentation

Tuesday 19th April 6:30 to 8:30pm (new for childminders)

The Wonder of Music

Through a varied range of medium (invited speakers, DVDs, discussion, practical sessions) the network aims to support, encourage and develop skills necessary to enable practitioners to deliver high quality experiences that will foster and positively influence learning and brain development, to give these youngest of children the best possible start in life.

The positive combination of music with children is evident from the moment they are born. Music encourages and enhances their development both mentally and physically.

This network will support practitioners to create an environment that actively encourages and offers children the opportunity to play and investigate music and sound.

Explore how you are embedding music through your practice and be aware of when to add music to children's learning, which will ignite all areas of child development.

Bilingual Beginnings

The purpose of Bilingual Beginnings Learning Network is to improve outcomes for children to whom English is an additional language. Each network will have a different focus and will give attendees a great opportunity to expand on existing knowledge, share good practice, explore different support strategies and discuss all issues relating to bilingualism.

This session will focus on cultural differences and the impact on children's learning.
