Pre-School For Sale
Provision Requires New Owner, Management & Fresh Start
Local, long established pre-school provision is looking for new owner(s) this year due to family commitments & home relocation.
The provision is situated in a large hall with a carpark & fully accessible facilities. It has exclusive use of a large kitchen & 2 sets of toilets during session times, all within secure boundary of the hall. The pre-school has developed a large secure & private outside learning area, reading corner & natural garden, surrounded by fencing & hedges, directly accessed by own corridor & exit. The garden is maintained by the pre-school for the settings exclusive use only. The present provision is registered for 26 children & chooses to provide the Universal funded 15 hours a week, term-time only.
There is scope to easily increase the hours & weeks provided for hire to meet the extended or stretched funding offer. The landlords are very keen to increase the weekly hire of the setting & extend further throughout the year. The present pre-school has bespoke wheeled classroom furniture, made for ease of movement & light-weight folding tables. Furniture, storage, equipment, materials, toys & large selection of books can be included.
Little Acorns Pre-school, St Lukes Church, Winton. Any enquiries please call 07886 313108 or email.

Parents Survey 2019
We are currently seeking parents views on the childcare they use as part of our Childcare Sufficiency Assessment. The survey should only take a few minutes to complete and asks for their experience of using and finding childcare, early years education and out of school provision. Everybody who takes part has a chance to enter a free prize draw to win a £250 shopping voucher for a shop of their choice. Please help us by promoting this to your parents.
Your Childcare Information – Public or Private?
We have recently come across a number of childcare settings that have their information set to Private within the Synergy Portal. This means that we are unable to share your information with parents and carers looking for childcare. Once your childcare setting is made Public, information can be shared on the childcare search facility and by the Childcare and Family Information Services.
If you would like your information to be promoted and made available for parents and carers, please ensure that you give consent by using the ‘share my information’ tick boxes in the Synergy Portal, as the default is for it to remain Private.
GECCO Real Nappy Campaign TOPS
The owner of Tops Day Nurseries has launched a campaign to promote reusable, washable nappies in a bid to reduce plastic pollution. Cheryl Hadland hopes to discourage use of plastic, disposable single-use nappies, which are sent to landfill. Find more information about The Real Nappy Campaign and much more for promoting change in the Early Years.
BCP Provider Facebook Group
The BCP Early Years Sub Group, made up of Providers and LA officers, was established last year to support the development of a BCP Early Years Single Funding Formula. The formula is now in place and the group continues to meet regularly to discuss the impact of the formula and support developments moving forward.
This Facebook group, BCP Early Years Providers Information group, is specifically for setting Owners, Managers, Leaders and Childminders operating within BCP.
Childminders Support Facebook Page
This group has been running for 6 years and offers a safe virtual network of support. As the role of a childminder is naturally quite an isolating one, this group is exclusively for childminders. Providing support, advice, networking and peer to peer networking across the BCP borough. Please note that this Facebook page is private and not managed by BCP Council.
