It aims to bring together SEND professionals and other partners to develop inclusive practice and improve outcomes for children and young people with SEND. Health

Winter Readiness Pack – Infectious Diseases

As per our newsletter at the end of September, PHE Health Protection Team and Screening and Immunisation Team have prepared a selection of useful documents for use during the imminent winter season and throughout the year. Unfortunately, to date, it has not been possible to upload two key checklist documents to the website, the Integrated Care Pathways for diarrhoea /vomiting and respiratory outbreaks. You should ensure your staff are familiar with them and may want to print these off for ease of access.

You will find a cover letter on the website in the schools and nurseries section which explains exactly what the pack contains and how to use it. Please visit the NHS website for more information.

General Information

Childcare Jobs Dorset Website

This website is now hosted by BCP Council. We hope there will be minimal disruption to users and all existing job vacancies have been copied over to the new site: www.childcarejobsdorset.co.uk Early years and childcare settings will have to re-register and be authorised to access the site. This process can be completed when first advertising a job vacancy.

Please do provide us with feedback on the new site. Being hosted in-house means that we can be more responsive to users requests. If you have any queries relating to the new website, please email Claire Vials or call 01202 456353.

BCP Childcare Parent Survey Results

This summer we ran our first BCP Childcare Parent Survey and were delighted to receive 663 responses.  A full report of the findings can be accessed here. The response will form part of the 2019 Childcare Sufficiency Assessment, published in December.

BCP Provider Facebook Group

The BCP Early Years Sub Group, made up of Providers and LA officers, was established last year to support the development of a BCP Early Years Single Funding Formula. The formula is now in place and the group continues to meet regularly to discuss the impact of the formula and support developments moving forward.

This Facebook group, BCP Early Years Providers Information group, is specifically for setting Owners, Managers, Leaders and Childminders operating within BCP.
