Information for Settings & Childminders
Early Years Foundation Stage Profile Results
The results have just been announced and we are within the top 10% local authorities in England.
30 Hours Update
957 children are claiming extended entitlement – 171 codes need updating so please remember to ask parents to re-confirm eligibility every 3 months.
Also, please be aware that we are monitoring if 30 hours is having any impact on the number of available 2 year old funded places.
Paediatric Refresher Course
We have recently had enquiries regarding Paediatric Refresher Course.
Please refer to the Statutory Guidance, page 22, 3.25 and then on to the last page of the Statutory Guidance which is P36 Annex A: Criteria for effective PFA training.
Number 7 at the bottom of the page is the only reference that I can find relating to a refresher course.
Please see updated information on the Early Years Safeguarding web page.
Mental Health Awareness Training Opportunities
We have commissioned Marilyn Tucknott to provide training that will enable practitioners to understand how they can proactively support the development of positive mental health, and wellbeing, in children under 5.
Settings are encouraged to take advantage of the heavy subsidies provided for places on the various Mental Health courses – available only until end of March 2018!
