The Council has a Constitution  which oversees all of the decisions made by Cabinet, Full Council and other decision making bodies. We are also responsible for providing and protecting information and have a duty to be transparent and open.

Local Government Reorganisation

We are working with all councils in Dorset on proposals for restructured local government in the county.

Bournemouth and Poole Health and Wellbeing Board

Bournemouth and Poole Health and Wellbeing Board is elected members and leaders from the NHS, social care and the voluntary sector to working together

Citizenship Ceremonies

We hold monthly citizenship ceremonies to welcome new citizens to Bournemouth. The Mayor of Bournemouth attends these.
