Ask a question at a Council Meeting
If you’re on the Electoral Roll, you can ask Councillors questions at council meetings. This includes under 16s accompanied by an adult.
If you have any questions, please complete the Contact Us form below. Your questions must be sent up to one working day before the meeting you want the question answered at.
Rules for asking questions
- The Chair (leader of a meeting) decides if questions are relevant and how they are presented.
- Questions should be short and not include long explanations, statements, or political comments.
- There is 15 minutes for questions at meetings. If all questions are answered within this time, you may be allowed to ask a second or third question.
- You can’t ask more than one question in a row at a meeting.
