As part of the local government Transparency Code 2015 we have to make sure we publish information about our trade union involvement.
We currently have 45 staff members across the whole council that are union representatives. Three of these staff spend at least 50% of their time on union duties. The rest spend far less time on union related work.

Trade Union Time & Representatives
GMB
Andy Geeves is the full time senior trade union official for the GMB who spends at least 50% of his time on union work.
The stewards spend less time on union duties, these are Andy Thornycroft, Ian Roy, Michael Walls, Richard Milner and Billy Riglar.
UNISON
We’ve got 18 workplace representatives and five health and safety stewards for UNISON within the council..
NUT
David Morgan is the representative who spends at least 50% of his time on union work for the NUT. They also have 16 part time representatives within the council.
