Have your say in Parliamentary, local elections, local elections, national and local referendums. You need to be on the electoral register in order to vote.
Although you cannot vote until you’re 18, you can register to vote if you're over 16
Every year we ask all properties to check who is eligible to register to vote (this is part of our annual canvass).
This year between June and September you may receive an email from us (BCP Council Electoral Services) with ‘Act now so BCP Council can check who is eligible to be registered to vote at your address’ as the subject.
It will ask you to confirm your details at www.householdresponse.com/bcpcouncil, and include:
Not everyone will be sent an email, some residents will still be contacted by post.
Information on current and previous electoral events and results.
