How to register to vote or make changes to your registration
Register to vote - apply online
To apply online please visit www.gov.uk/registertovote
If you are already registered to vote, you do not need to register again unless you move or your entitlement changes.
You’ll need your National Insurance number and date of birth in order to register.
When you register to vote online, your application is automatically uploaded to us. We will send you a confirmation letter once your registration has been processed.
To be sent a form to register
Please contact Electoral Services on 01202 633097 and they will either take your details over the phone or send you an Individual Registration Form.
If you have received a Household Enquiry Form for your property
Please follow the instructions on the form and respond online. Alternatively you can add, delete or amend any details on the form and return it to us. We will then invite each new individual to register to vote or take steps to delete those no longer resident.
If you don't respond to the Household Enquiry form, you'll be sent a reminder. You may also receive a canvasser visit during the door-knocking stage.
Please help us to keep costs down by responding promptly.
