Make Your Home Energy Efficient With LEAP
The Local Energy Advice Partnership (LEAP) could help you cut your energy bills.
LEAP is part of our Help For Warmth programme, where you can see news of all the energy-saving grants for residents, including the new Green Home Grants.
Personal advice and free gadgets for residents who qualify
If you are a Bournemouth, Poole or Christchurch resident and you meet the criteria (see if you qualify), you can apply for a visit from a Home Energy Advisor who can:
- Install free simple energy saving measures in your home – such as low energy LED lightbulbs, reflective radiator panels, shower savers and draught-proofing to wooden windows and doors. These measures save the average household £30 on their energy bills each year (subject to the suitability of your home).
- Give you energy efficiency tips on how to set your heating controller to keep your energy bills down
- Help you check if you are on the cheapest energy tariffs. An average household can save £287 a year by switching!
- Plus, you can get free telephone advice on unclaimed benefits and grants from a money advice specialist.
