The Local Development Scheme sets out which planning policy documents are to be prepared

The Local Development Scheme (LDS) sets out the Local Planning Authority's programme for the management of its Local Plan documents.

This is a public statement which shows what Local Development Documents (LDDs) will be produced and when.

There are two main goals, it shows which planning policies will apply to a particular place or issue and their status and it outlines when new documents will be produced.

The current Local Development Scheme came into effect on 26th October 2016.
