Planning for waste disposal and mineral extraction in Dorset

Our Planning Board makes decisions on applications for mineral sites and waste management facilities in Bournemouth. However, under an agreement, we are advised on strategic minerals and waste planning matters by Dorset County Council officers. Dorset County Council is responsible for the preparation of minerals and waste planning documents for Bournemouth Borough Council, the Borough of Poole and Dorset councils.
