BCP Council Local Plan

Preparation of a new Local Plan covering Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole

The new plan will provide a framework of policies and site allocations to guide future development in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole. This will help us meet identified needs for new homes, jobs, infrastructure and other supporting services within the BCP Council area. This will be done while both respecting and protecting the local area's best features including the coast; internationally designated environments, particularly heathland; Green Belt and areas at present and future risk of flooding.

The consolidated BCP Local Plan will eventually replace the existing Local Plan Documents adopted by the preceding three councils.

Please see BCP Council - Local Plan for details of the (now closed) Issues, Call for Sites and Statement of Community Involvement consultation.
