Town Centre Area Action Plan
Our plans to improve Bournemouth’s Town Centre
Our town centre will undergo changes in future, making an Area Action Plan now is the best way to manage these changes.
The Town Centre Area Action Plan forms a part of the new Local Plan for Bournemouth. It focuses specifically on the Town Centre as the heart of Bournemouth’s economy and supports our long-term goals.
Adopted Area Action Plan
On 5th March 2013, we decided to adopt the Bournemouth Town Centre Area Action Plan (as amended following the independent examination). The policies in the Town Centre AAP are now formally used in the consideration of planning applications.
