Bournemouth beach has a great promenade for cycling which stretches from Hengistbury Head in the east, to Sandbanks in the west. Although it’s not permitted to cycle on the prom between 10am and 6pm in July and August due to the high amount of people, you can however ride between the Piers on the road at all times throughout the year which still makes it a great way to get around our wonderful coastline.
We have teamed up with British Cycling to offer you plenty of opportunities to get out on free group bike rides.
Sky Ride Local is a programme of free guided rides lead by trained Sky Ride Local leaders. From gentle pootles down the coastline to tours of Bournemouth’s award winning parks and urban landscape, there is a ride for everyone to enjoy.
Ride Social is a network of like-minded cyclists where you can meet other riders, create groups and organise your own rides.
Breeze is the biggest programme ever to get more women into riding bikes for fun. The aim is to help thousands of women feel confident and comfortable about going on a ride.
