"I have been meaning to email you after your excellent training that I undertook in February. I wanted to feedback to say that I found the training really useful, clear and enjoyable. I was pleasantly surprised that you showed us how to do repair jobs that I already thought I knew, such as repairing a puncture, in an easier way with a range of tips. I also gained a lot of confidence to tackle repairs that I always considered too complicated, like adjusting my gears."
“Fantastic course. Excellent value for money. My partner and I are experienced riders and found Nigel's practical demonstrations and enthusiastic explanations to be really clear and helpful. Although we knew the basics Nigels ‘little quirks and tips’ were really really helpful. Highly recommend for any seeking a basic understanding of bike maintenance."
"I just wanted to say a big thank you for the training course the other evening. James and I found it really helpful, would you believe he had to mend a tyre yesterday so was already putting the new knowledge to use. I thought it was excellent value for money and would definitely recommend it."
"Hi Nigel, many thanks for yesterday - it was useful and informative for both myself and my daughter. Samantha."
"I just wanted to pass on some feedback about Nigel who conducts the bike maintenance/bikeability courses. He was an absolute pleasure to learn from and made the Tuesday evening course really come to life. He is clearly passionate about bikes and really cares that people have got them set up correctly and get the most from them. As well as attending the course I had purchased a bike from Bicycle World and they are now closed down so I approached Nigel to look at my bike quickly on Saturday but he ended up spending 3 hours of his personal time helping sort out my mess of a bike. What a legend!"
"I really enjoyed the bike maintenance course. Nigel was excellent; he is very knowledgeable and friendly. He gave us lots of good tips and has given me more confidence to have a go at fixing my bike, even my gears! Thank you."
"Just a note following the course Daniel and I attended last night. It was a really useful session, a good mix of talk and hands-on. Nigel is a great instructor, very enthusiastic and knowledgeable and he was happy to answer additional questions. He showed us how to inspect our bike frame and take off the wheels, how to change an inner tube, the M-check, cleaning the chain and adjusting brakes and gears. Nigel explained everything very well and he took the time to make sure we understood what he was showing us, what tools we might need and what to do with them."
"Just wanted to email to thank you for providing a great learning course. I feel so much more confident."
"Please can you pass on my thanks to Nigel. The course he ran was superb. Nigel is obviously a credit to the council, he was totally professional, friendly and passionate about his subject. Thanks to all in arranging this course."
"The session last night was excellent. Nigel taught us so much. I can't believe how much I learnt in 2 hours. Thank you. I was the only female so you could say that's it's suitable for everyone."
"I just wanted to say thank you. Last night's bike maintenance course was exactly what I needed and I know have a bit more confidence about sorting out any small problems I might have. Nigel Winter is an excellent instructor. Very patient and he doesn't make you feel a bit daft asking what might seem to be a bonkers questions. He was terrific. I had a puncture and thanks to Nigel I was able to replace the inner tube (I have a spare) during a 40 mile ride. It was a thin sliver of slate."
"Just to say we both thoroughly enjoyed the course last Tuesday. Please pass on our thanks to Nigel, who was extremely knowledgeable, patient and very good at explaining everything he showed us. Would definitely recommend this course to anyone who wants a basic understanding of bike maintenance."
